there was more to kencar than their website was letting on...

Kencar were already well established in architectural fabrication. It’s their bread and butter, and still is.

But there was a lot more going on behind the scenes.

They had the machinery, capability and experience to work across industries well beyond architecture. The problem was, hardly anyone knew it.

Their website certainly wasn’t telling them. It was heavily architectural, other sectors didn’t exist, and enquiries were few and far between.

There was a much bigger Kencar hiding behind that website.

We needed to bring it out.

Same kencar. bigger picture.

Architectural fabrication wasn’t going anywhere. It was still Kencar’s brand and butter and needed to stay a big part of the site.

We just needed to make room for everything else.

So we started pulling apart the old website and looking at what was missing. The services Kencar offered. The sectors they could work in. What their customers were actually searching for. And, importantly, whether they could find Kencar when they searched for it.

That meant new sector pages, more focus on individual services and a much clearer route around the site, with SEO worked into the whole thing rather than chucked in at the end.

Electrical, aerospace, telecommunications, rail, motorsport, food manufacturing… suddenly all those capabilities that had been quietly sitting in the background had somewhere to be seen.

And architecture… Still front and center.

We weren’t changing what they were known for. We were showing people there was more to know.

And it didn't stop at 'go live'

The old website had fallen behind Kencar once. We didn’t want the new one doing exactly the same thing.

Because Kencar doesn’t stand still. New projects come through the doors, and different capabilities get pushed.

The website now moves with them.

Since launch, we’ve continued adding new projects, building out service content, strengthening the SEO and spotting new opportunities as they come up.

And because we work closely with Kencar across their wider marketing too, we know what’s happening in the business. We know what they’re working on, what they want more of, and where there might be an opportunity to get them seen.

So rather than the website slowly becoming out of date, it keeps earning its keep.

So...did it work?

Well, the website certainly started earning its keep.

BEFORE

1-2 website enquiries a month

AFTER

Up to 10 website enquiries a month

The important bit wasn’t just getting more traffic onto the website. It was getting more of the right people there and giving them a much clearer route to enquire once they arrived.

Rankings are lovely. Traffic is lovely. But Kencar wanted enquiries.
