Oliver Rae, a small but mighty recruitment agency, wanted to stand out from the flood of corporate Christmas cards and generic gifts. They needed something classy, personal, and unforgettable – something that made prospective clients feel valued, chosen, and special.

The challenge? How do we make a recruitment agency gift feel more like a thoughtful gesture and less like a sales pitch? 

A Gift That Feels Exclusive

We knew we had to go beyond the expected – no generic packs here. Instead, we crafted 100 beautifully curated Christmas gift bags, designed to feel exclusive and meaningful. Inside, recipients found: 

  • A fresh linen scented candle – hand-poured, made from scratch, and carrying the warmth of a personal touch. 
  • A wall planner – because who doesn’t need a little organisation in the new year? 
  • A tri-fold flyer – subtle, informative, and designed to highlight Oliver Rae’s strengths. 
  • Lime green watermelon-flavoured candy canes – a playful twist on a classic (not to mention the matching green to fit perfectly with the company branding).
  • Branded pens & notebooks – practical, stylish, and subtly reinforcing the brand.

But what really set this apart? The message behind it.

Each gift bag included a flyer that read ‘You’ve made it onto our Nice list!’ – not just a catchy Christmas phrase, but a deliberate message that made recipients feel hand-picked. This wasn’t a mass-mailer; it was a carefully selected outreach to businesses Oliver Rae genuinely wanted to work with. 

Above & Beyond

We didn’t just source candles and pack bags – we made 100 candles by hand. Melted, poured, crafted, and checked each one perfectly finished to burn evenly and fill a space with an elegant, lasting scent.

And the Nice list flyer? It transformed these gifts from a seasonal giveaway into a meaningful, personal gesture – turning a simple package into an experience that left a lasting impression.
